Applications range from treatments for Chronic and Acute Renal Failure, Medium to Moderate Acute Respiratory Failure, Therapeutic Apheresis, Congestive Heart Failure, Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (Hipec), Pre-transplantation Organ Perfusion, Functional Urology and Gastrointestinal Motility Diagnostics, Bladder Post Void Residual Measurement, Renal failure in small animals.
The extrusion of hollow membranes is the technological strength of Medica S.p.A., which has developed a range of membranes based on the pore size and adsorption capacity of the highly bio-compatible materials used, in particular Polysulfone (Medisulfone®) and Polyethersulfone (Versatile-PES®).
The company offers a wide range of products for blood purification - including Dialyzers, Hemofilters, Haemoconcentrators, Plasmafilters, Adsorbers - and water purification with Ultrafiltration and Microfiltration filters, all specially designed and developed to offer the best conditions for the treatment of adults, children and infants.
